Don’t Forget to Enjoy Life

“Live life fully while you’re here. Experience everything. Take care of yourself and your friends. Have fun, be crazy, be weird. Go out and screw up! You’re going to anyway, so you might as well enjoy the process. Take the opportunity to learn from your mistakes: find the cause of your problem and eliminate it. Don’t try to be perfect; just be an excellent example of being human.”- Anthony Robbins

Have fun. We can get caught up in trying to do everything right. We can get lost in trying to make the right decisions. But, the most important thing you can do is to enjoy life. God gave us this great big beautiful world, explore it. I’ve made my share of mistakes. But, I’ve also done a lot of laughing and a lot of simply enjoying life. I’m going through some old photos and I’m reminded how much I enjoyed my life and how important it is.

It’s very easy to focus on all the bad things in your life or all the things you need to do to improve it. But, it’s equally important to focus on all the things you’ve done right. You should also remember all the times you’ve laughed. You should try to create moments where you let loose and enjoy life. It’s not about being perfect. Life is messy. You can be mad about it or you can find a way to enjoy it. We have so many things at our disposal that can help us take advantage of all the beauty that surrounds us. You may look out your window and see concrete, but there are still trees and parks among it. Eden is still accessible to you. You have to change your view so you can see it.

It’s important to take a moment to enjoy your life. Allow yourself to make mistakes and enjoy life in the process. It’s important to pay your bills and be responsible, but it’s equally important to make moments. Blow off some responsibility and remind yourself that you are human. When you die, no one is going to say, “Do you remember how great he was at paying bills?” They are going to say, “There is someone who lived. He enjoyed his life.” Live, love and laugh.
