I want to be the wonder
That you wonder
As you wander about
The mystery
That rolls in your mind
As you try to understand
My inner workings
Not an everyday occurrence
Or a painting on your wall
Not a statue in your life
A dependable, expendable
Taken for granted and unseen
Entity that floats through your days
I want to be fireworks on the fourth of July
Something you look forward to
A source of excitement
Something you live for
And that shows up in your fondest memories
I want to be the wonder
That you wonder
As you wander about
I want to be sex
The steamy, sweaty writing bodies type
Ripping off clothes
Passionate desire and hunger
Taking me as if I am the answer
To the question of your life
Consuming me as if
You cannot breathe
Without tasting my lips
Kneading and digging your fingers
Into my hips
As I scratch and claw your back
Animalistic, natural desire
Taking me as if you are stealing the essence of my soul
To carry with you
And flashbacks
that shock you and ignite you
I want to be the wonder
That you wonder
As you wander about
I want it all
I want you to be wrapped up in my presence
I want you to be ruined for anyone else
I want you to be craving me
Like a need
Like food
Like oxygen
Like water
I want to be the wonder
That you wonder
As you wander about
Until you find your place
Here in my heart
